2024 Season Important Dates

The following are featured dates that everyone should be mindful of as we approach the 2024 season.  They are as follows...
  1. Practices
    1. Communities are allowed to begin practicing the week of August 5
    2. Players are required to have 3 days of practice without pads before being allowed to participate in full contact practices and games
    3. Before the first game, teams are allowed no more than three practices featuring full contact
    4. After the first game, teams will then only be allowed no more than two days of full player-to-player contact practice, not to exceed 45 minutes of contact, per week.  This is an MHSAA guideline that is supported by the WMJFL Board of Directors 
  2. Scrimmage – Saturday, August 24
    1. Each community makes their own arrangements to partner with other communities to do this, if wanted
  3. 1st Game
    1. Saturday, September 7
  4. Remaining Regular Season Dates
    1. September 14, 21, 28, October 5, 12
  5. Seventh Week for “Bye” teams – October 19
  6. Game Times:  9am, 10:30am, 12pm, & 1:30pm (unless local director requests alternate time)
